Michael Workman Studio provides services for individual artists, small to mid-size nonprofits, and national arts and culture organizations. Motivated by a passion for the arts, Michael Workman Studio works to support artists and artist-run institutions by helping them navigate the ins and outs of all-things grants. A list of provided services and their corresponding rates is listed below. Discounted rates are available for small, justice-oriented nonprofits that work with limited funding (please inquire). Rate Sheet

Hourly: $50-$100 an hour

Strategic Assessments (A curated and customized list of prospective grants based on individual needs and qualifications) — 10-20 hours

City Grants — 10-20 hours per grant

City Contracts — 40-55 hours

Foundation Grants — 20-30 hours per grant (including Letters of Inquiry)

State Grants — 40-55 hours per grant

Federal Grants - 80-120 hours per grant

Landscape Assessments (A list of organizations that have received grant awards you are competitive for) — 10-20 hours

Retainment:

Minimum 30 hours on hold a month for $3,000/month, with the opportunity to scale-up based on need.

Services:

Larger organizations may sign up for a six to twelve-month retainment contract where they will be eligible for all of the services listed above. For our retainment clients, we can also write civic-level legislation proposals, and other specialized focus efforts outside the immediate garnet writing domain. Hours and deliverables do not roll over from month to month.
