About The Show:
When the daughter of a wealthy Jewish merchant helps a young African American woman escape slavery, she sets into motion a series of events that will change both of their lives. In a nation deeply divided by race, religion, and politics, Eleanor and Hanna face war, loss and betrayal in their search for personal freedom.

About the Production:
This is a workshop production in front of an audience in The Center for Performing Arts. 

All rehearsals will be held on the Governors State University campus.

Pay varies based on the role.
*This is a non-equity workshop production.

- Hanna (an African American woman of 16 and 33 )
- Connor (Caucasian man 20's)
- Joshua (African American man 20-30)
- Papa/Paddy (Caucasian man 40-50)
- Mama (Caucasian woman 50)
- Kathleen (Caucasian woman 20 and 40)
- Maude (Caucasian woman 40's)
- Jacob (Caucasian man 20's)
- Daniel/Hugh (Caucasian man 20's)
- Bridget (Caucasian woman of 18)
- Finley (Caucasian man 40 and 60)
- Ensemble (Caucasian and African American)

Preparation:
Auditioners are asked to submit a self-tape, complete the audition form, and attend the in-person audition.

Self-Tape
Auditioners will need to submit an audition self-tape that is no longer than 3 minutes in length and complete the DIVIDED audition form. Self-tapes are to include the following:
- 16-32 bars of a standard musical song
- Monologue

All self-tapes are to be sent to the Production Manager at scorum@govst.edu by July 28th at 11:59pm.
In-person Auditions
Auditions will be held on the Governors State University campus on July 30th from 6pm - 10pm. Auditions will include a dance audition and individual callbacks.
