Cicada Themed Mini-Market

Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods is looking for Artists and Makers to to contribute cicada themed items for a mini-market that will be featured alongside our upcoming Metamorphosis: Coming Out of the Dark exhibition in summer, 2024. For this market, we are looking for unframed prints, notecards, jewelry, accessories, decorative items, toys, jewelry, ornaments, etc. that feature cicadas. Unlike our larger art markets, we are not expecting artists to fill an entire table of work, rather we expect artists will contribute 1-3 items each. ONLY CICADA RELATED ITEMS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Please note this is a curated market, and pieces will be selected upon the basis of quality of work, relationship to theme, and how their items fit with other artists and items in the show. This is an open call – feel free to share this with anyone you feel might be interested!

Details: Artists will be responsible for delivering or picking up items from Brushwood. A one day Chicago drop off /pick up option will also be provided for those who would prefer (location and date TBD). Brushwood will be responsible for handling sales, and will retain 25% of proceeds from the mini-market.
