Call for Workshop Proposals
Overview: The Chicago Mosaic School is seeking workshop proposals from local, national, and international Teaching Artists for workshops that focus on hands-on learning in different aspects of traditional and contemporary mosaic art. The Chicago Mosaic School (CMS) is a nonprofit art space dedicated to fostering personal and community transformation through mosaic education, exhibition, and collaborative engagement through outreach and public projects. CMS has been committed to advancing the fine art of mosaics by providing educational opportunities for comprehensive study through academic and innovative approaches to Mosaic Art. The school aims to increase awareness and appreciation for the art form while creating an open, supportive, and inclusive community for sharing expertise and learning.
Criteria: We are seeking course proposals that offer new approaches to instruction and can bridge creative disciplines. Artists working across the areas of interdisciplinary visual art, writing, and community engagement are encouraged to apply. Selected artists will be considered for our Summer 2026 Visiting Artist Seminar series. All workshops will take place at The Chicago Mosaic School studio facilities in Chicago’s historic Edgewater neighborhood
Submission Requirements: Please submit your proposal through the form below including workshop description, 2 images, and artist CV.
