["In celebration of our 40th Anniversary Links Hall is making the upcoming season (August 2018-June 2019) FREE to artists to participate in. That means you can apply to our Linkage performance rental program and perform at Links Hall this year without spending a dime... on us at least. Applications are live now and being accepted on a rolling basis - we are currently booking Aug-December 2018._______________________________________________________________Links Hall was founded as a non-profit 501(c)3 arts organization in 1978 by three innovative dancers and choreographers, Bob Eisen, Carol Bobrow and Charlie Vernon. The space was initially run as an artists\u2019 cooperative which provided space and community to hundreds of artists of multiple performance disciplines and cultures from Chicago and around the USA.\u00a0Links Hall became a National Performance Network presenting partner in 1998. Links Hall\u2019s Director, Roell Schmidt was appointed to the City of Chicago\u2019s Cultural Advisory Council in 2012. In April 2013, Links Hall and musician\/presenter Mike Reed created a new collaborative arts venue as the shared home of the for-profit Constellation and the non-profit Links Hall.\u00a0For 51 weeks each year, Links Hall encourages artists and audiences to take an equal risk and embrace experimentation through its residency programs, artist-curated festivals, co-presentations with self-producing artists, cabarets, performance series, workshops and low-cost studio rentals.\u00a0_______________________________________________________________\u00a0Apply to be part of Links Hall\u2019s 40th Anniversary season!Links Hall has made it this far because of the creative willpower of the Chicago performing arts community.
