Call for Directors and Writers for The Whiskey Radio Hour, Ep. 31
We are currently taking writer and director submissions for Episode 31 of the Whiskey Radio Hour, which will be performed in front a live audience on Wednesday, January 28 at Chief O'Neill’s Pub and Restaurant.
Each performance of the Whiskey Radio Hour is recorded as a single "episode" and then put on the internet for anyone to download free of charge. To check out past episodes, visit our Bandcamp page: https://whiskeyradiohour.bandcamp.com/
This opportunity is unpaid.

Submission Guidelines for Directors
Please submit a directing resume, along with a short description of your interest in the radio play format, to whiskeyradiohour@gmail.com by Sunday, December 21.
You and your cast MUST be available for a rehearsal on the afternoon/early evening of Sunday, January 25 near the Francisco Brown Line stop. At this rehearsal, our talented Foley artist will work with you and the Whiskey Radio Hour band to integrate the Foley cues (which will be performed live) into your show.
You will be asked to create a Foley cue sheet to communicate your sound needs to our Foley person. (And think big—past sound effects have included everything from a train going by to a giant space katana.)
There is no space for large physical objects on the stage. Likewise, the turnover time between radio pieces is extremely small—around thirty seconds. Therefore, setup time must be kept to an absolute minimum.
A maximum of four performers can be on stage for each play. If your play requires more characters, you must double cast or come up with a creative solution.
The Whiskey Radio Hour will provide up to four music stands for your performers’ scripts. Performers can be on book.

Submission Guidelines for Writers
Kindly email whiskeyradiohour@gmail.com with your complete radio play script (in either .doc or .pdf format) by Sunday, December 21.
Only complete radio play scripts will be considered.
Your radio play should be around ten minutes long (so read your play out loud before you submit!)
Your play can be in any genre you like, but try to engage the radio play format. (Think big, not just footsteps.) Due to the format, the script should not hinge upon visuals.
Due to space constraints, a maximum of four performers can be on stage for each radio play. If your script contains more than four characters, please suggest possible double-casting options.
Each writer may submit up to two radio plays per episode.
If you’re interested in the correct format of a radio play, the BBC has a handy guide here: http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/writersroom/scripts/bbcradioscene.pdf
