Be the Brushwood Center Artist of the Month
Brushwood Center is looking for artists to fill month long spotlight roles. Apply today!
Artist of the Month will:
- Demonstrate their work at one “Open Art Workshop” Saturday.
- Teach one Wednesday evening, 2-hour long “Create & Sip” class featuring a project of their choice using materials from BASE (the Brushwood Art Supply Exchange).
- Display their work on one wall in the Brushwood Center gallery (roughly 80” wide) plus optional shelf space for the duration of their feature.
- Be featured on Brushwood Center’s e-newsletter and social media.
- Receive a stipend of $750 and use of art supplies and tools from BASE
Selection Criteria:
Artists must apply with samples of their work, an artist’s statement, bio and proposal for a class project.
Preference will be given to artists whose work has ties to Brushwood Center’s mission and explores themes of health, nature and the environment, and to artists whose class projects explore a creative of BASE materials.
This is an ongoing call, and we are currently taking applications for months in 2025.
