Autonomy: Call for Visual Art and Writing

The concept of independence can be very challenging for people in the queer community, whether that independence be in the context of self-expression, financial circumstances, disability accommodations, or other facets of life. The Living Room Zine is inviting LGBTQ+ writers and artists in Chicagoland to explore the theme of “Autonomy” through our open call for submissions. Submit your visual art, prose (maximum 6 pages), and poetry (maximum of 5 poems) for the 3rd issue of The Living Room Zine. Please send submissions to thelivingroomexhibitions@gmail.com as easily accessible files (Word docs and PDFs preferred) before midnight on February 15, 2026. The Living Room Exhibitions is a queer-led curatorial collective and zine based in Chicago, IL. We aim to foster queer community, and strongly encourage all queer artists/writers to submit their work.
