AUDITION for Hedwig Dances

Hedwig Dances seeks contemporary dancers for paid company artist positions for upcoming 40th Anniversary Season. Audition May 19 from 12-4pm at Ruth Page Center for the Arts (1016 N. Dearborn, Chicago, IL).

Contract runs Fall 2024 to Spring 2025 and includes two Chicago productions plus regional touring and possible international touring.

Seeking versatile dancers with a strong background in modern, ballet, contemporary partnering, somatic techniques, and experience with improvisation.

Dancers must be available 12-15 hours per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during the day for rehearsals.

Rehearsals begin in August, 2024. All rehearsals take place at Ruth Page Center for the Arts and include company class.

The company tours regionally and internationally, and has cultivated international collaborations with artists in Cuba, Mexico, and Germany. Hedwig Dances is currently an in-residence company at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts.
