Artpie Gallery’s annual Small Works national juried exhibition highlights work selected from entries by artists from across the country. Any theme or style accepted. The show features a wide array of media, ranging from photography and prints to painting and drawing. 2D and digital media accepted.

Call for Artists and 2024 Exhibition Calendar

• 9/9: Entry deadline
• 9/16: Jury notification posted on Artpie.com website and artist will be notified by email.
• 10/10: Deadline for artwork to be received
• 10/19:  Opening at Artpie Gallery Waukegan IL
• 10/31: Return artwork shipping begins

ELIGIBILITY AND MEDIA

• All artists age 18 and over living in the United States are eligible.
• All artwork should be 200 square inches or less unframed (example: 12x16 = 192 square inches).
• All 2D works must be ready to hang with proper wire hardware.
• Digital media are eligible, including digital artwork and video.
• Digital or video must be delivered on a USB flash drive or SD card, Blu ray or HDMI compatible drive.
• Work that requires special installation or instructions will NOT be accepted.
• Artpie commission is 20% of all sales. 

ENTRY PROCESS

All Small Works entries will be judged from digital files. Before entering, prepare the following:

1. Required Artwork Information for each entry:

• Title
• Medium
• Sale Price or NFS
• Unframed Size (height" x width")

2. Required Digital Image File

• One (1) image file per entry, up to three (3) entries per artist.
• File Format: .jpg only, maximum 2 MB file size
• File Name: Artist’s last name_First initial_number of image
  (Note: Do not place your name into the digital image.)
• Example: Smith_M_1.jpg

Digital work can be submitted for consideration via a link to web page (YouTube, website, Vimeo, etc.)

ENTRY FEE
One $15 nonrefundable fee entitles each artist to submit up to three entries.

NOTIFICATION
Accepted entries will be posted on Artpie.com by September 9, 2024. Individual notification will also be sent. Please check Artpie.com for the jury results.

IF YOUR WORK IS SELECTED, JAMES WILL EMAIL YOU QR CODES (Zelle, Venmo, CashApp or PayPal) FOR ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS.

YOUR SUBMISSION IS NOT COMPLETE UNTIL $15 PAYMENT IS RECEIVED.

ACCEPTED WORK
Presentation: All works must be delivered to Artpie Gallery (Shipping address to be sent upon acceptance) ready for hanging/ installation/display. For framed work, use Plexiglas only. Original work not accurately represented by the digital file may be declined at the discretion of the Juror. All work should be insured by the artist if desired.

Shipping: Work must be shipped in sturdy, reusable cardboard containers to arrive at Artpie Gallery no later than October 1, 2024.

In-person deliveries for local artists may be available during September ArtWauk weekend(notify James upon acceptance). DO NOT use loose Styrofoam “peanut” packing. Works should not require special handling or instructions.

RETURN OF ACCEPTED WORK
Artists must include Return Shipping Label. If your artwork is not sold …Works will be returned in original containers using the Return Label provided by the Artist.

REPRODUCTION
Consent to reproduction for publicity purposes for this or future Artpie Gallery national exhibitions is considered granted.

YOUR SUBMISSION IS NOT COMPLETE UNTIL $15 PAYMENT IS RECEIVED. AFTER YOUR THREE WORKS ARE RECEIVED, JAMES WILL EMAIL YOU QR CODES (Zelle, Venmo, CashApp or PayPal) FOR ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS.
