An Omnium-Gatherum Exhibit of Gender Multifariousness

CALL FOR ART:

Submit artwork in various mediums, paintings, prints, drawings, photos, sculptures, video, installation, to the An Omnium-Gatherum Exhibit of Gender Multifariousness exhibit at Agitator, 3851 W Fullerton Ave in Chicago. This exhibit seeks submissions that focus on gender variance and the human figure.

Exhibit Statement:

The goal of the Omnium-Gatherum Exhibit of Gender Multifariousness is to feature artwork that gives a full range of creative expression and support to gender variance and variety, and its artists, allowing them to be seen by a wide audience.

Diverse genders and bodies attest to a natural plenitude that occurs in human nature and culture, but historically, dominant world cultures have denied them, imposing limits on such expression. Thus, this exhibit takes a creative stand against the gender restrictions that current political leadership is trying to reimpose.

Submission Guidelines

Note that each artist will be given up to about four feet in wall space, so, if larger artworks are submitted, only one larger scale such artwork can be selected and exhibited.

Two types of files need to be sent: one with individual JPG images, another with text, so do not send one large file with JPG images and text, nor use PDF format files with image and text combined.

Photo Images of your artwork: 4 to 8 jpg photo images in separate attachments. Each jpg should include the title of your artwork.

A Text File that includes

Artist Bio - briefly note your art education, art-related activities (exhibits), inspiration sources.

Artist Statement - briefly describe your art practice in general and about your artwork submitted to this exhibit.
