Bio
Nancy Harmon is a passionate advocate for creating dynamic digital experiences in cultural spaces. With a background in anthropology and archaeology, she earned her MA in Museum and Exhibition Studies, blending her love for culture with innovative technology. As the co-founder of Encurate Mobile Technology, Nancy specializes in leveraging new technologies to enhance guest engagement in museums and cultural institutions. She has collaborated with some of Chicago’s greatest spaces, including The University of Chicago, The Driehaus Museum, and National Historic Landmark The Grove in Glenview, IL. Her work extends globally—from an archaeological site in Egypt to, most recently, Wynwood Walls in Miami, Florida, the original street art museum. Deeply committed to the arts in Chicago, she believes her unique background and network—spanning technology, museums, and cultural organizations—will be a valuable asset to Chicago Artists Coalition. Her expertise has led to speaking engagements at renowned conferences, including The American Alliance of Museums Annual Conference, The Museums and the Web Conference, and The Global ECSITE Conference in Austria. This year, she will speak at The Fortnightly Club in Chicago, sharing her unique story to inspire those interested in becoming more involved in arts and culture and highlighting her distinctive career path.
