Prof Dev – The Administrative Side of Being an Artist
The Administrative Side of Being An Artist
This workshop will cover a wide range of topics related to the administrative side of your art practice. We will discuss Data Asset Management (DAM) storage and workflow integration as they apply to artists. We will also go over application preparedness for grants, residencies, call for entries and public art commissions as well as project management for commissions and exhibitions you have been awarded. We will also discuss strategies for how to identify and start conversations with art world gate keepers such as curators, gallerists, art directors and editors for fine art, commercial and editorial art opportunities. I will share personal examples of my workflow, file storage system and real-world examples of applications and project management. All levels are welcome and specific questions to your art practice are welcome.
