Chicago Artists Coalition (CAC) is committed to addressing equity across the continuum of CAC's facilities and programs that serve Chicago's emerging artists and curators. In preparing to draft a new strategic plan that will prioritize this work, CAC is organizing three community listening sessions. During these sessions we hope to better understand the needs of the artist community, and to learn how CAC can better help to provide an environment where artists may thrive regardless of race, economic standing, gender, sexual orientation, and/or disability. We invite you to join us for this conversation.
Who is Invited
We extend an invitation to anyone who knows us well, knows us a little, or doesn't know us at all, but is a practicing artist, curator, or arts administrator in Chicago.
What will be Discussed
We will share CAC's mission and program structure. Then, we will invite you to have a guided discussion with members of the organization's Equity Committee.*
To RSVP, email Karina Quintana: karina [@] chicagoartistscoalition.org
*CAC's Equity Committee is composed of program alumni, staff, board members, and other stakeholders working to evolve CAC into a more equitable organization and resource where all Chicago artists, curators, and arts administrators can thrive regardless of race, economic standing, gender, sexual orientation, and/or disability.
