Yasmin Panjwani

Nominated by Harold Washington College I create art by using various methods and mediums such as digital processing, printmaking, and ink drawings. I am continuously learning new ways to make art. My work is made through the combination of the modern and traditional, taking advantage of the various technologies available to support each other and often going back and forth between mediums. Environment and location heavily influence me and the content of my art is very much reflective of my surroundings. I take the objects of my inspiration and in order to highlight them, I recreate them in a realistic yet stylized manner. I want to give them my interpretation while leaving them distinguishable and recognizable. My artwork is meant to bring attention to these subjects in order to share my fascinations.
