Circus/Dance/Physical Theater Performance Space

Aloft is excited to be Chicago's first permanent, legal circus performance venue. We are now booking shows for summer 2021 and beyond. Our 5000 Sq ft space can be set up in a variety for formats to suit your unique performance structure. With a 150 person audience capacity and flexible rental terms, we strive to provide an accessible platform to elevate art forms that traditionally have a hard time finding venue space. We have a full rigging system with both overhead rigging on pulley points ranging from 25-35 ft and ground anchor points, mats and a marley floor. We have basic lighting and sound systems and are working toward a liquor license for your post show meet and greets, talkbacks, etc. We are particularly interested in presenting circus, aerial dance and physical theater shows, though we will consider dance and theater shows with a highly physical or acrobatic component. We are committed to presenting diverse voices and encourage BIPOC companies to bring their shows to Aloft. Please fill out the google doc to get the ball rolling!Links to shows we've presented before:
