Founded in 2011, Mana Contemporary is one of the largest and most innovative contemporary arts organizations in the United States. Dedicated to celebrating the creative process at campuses in Jersey City, Chicago, and Miami, its mission is to maintain and empower a continually growing and evolving constellation of creative communities.

Mana Contemporary Chicago is a rapidly expanding art center set in an enormous landmark building in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood. Designed by noted local architect George Nimmons, the building is now home to artists’ studios, exhibition spaces, classrooms, a cafe, library, and more.

We remain committed to sustaining vibrant and accessible artistic communities in Chicago by offering CAR’s online resources on the Chicago Artists Coalition site. Users can still post and find calls for artists, job opportunities, and available art studio space. Emerging artists, curators, and businesses can also learn more about CAC grants and art advising services.
