I love this space so much! The room is in a big ol factory building full of artist studios and a couple galleries. It's on the first level, with a concrete floor - stays cool in summer and warm in winter, no issues with flooding. There are slop sinks down the hall, there's a back parking lot and dock, AND a bonkers beautiful backyard, it's like a half-acre forest which is a major perk. I like all the other tenants I've met in the building. There is always easy street parking available, and it's 3 blocks from the Kedzie green line CTA, 2 blocks from the California bus line. You will need to fill out an agreement with landlord references for the studio landlord, but I am the only one held to an official lease.

I do animation/installation art/ink drawing. Down to share the space with any kind of maker! Writers, designers, video editors, visual artists, etc are welcome. I like being friendly and talking to anyone I share space with, but I do want to find a studiomate who is interested in a mutual practice of boundaries around interaction during focused studio time.

The building has a strict policy against music practice, and no public events are allowed. Also sadly kilns are not allowed.
