Writer for Fux With Magazine

Fux With Mag is looking for Chicago writers to contribute to our mag!

  • BIPOC / LGBTQA writers are encouraged to apply
  • We look for that gritty Chicago passion and an ability to translate that passion to writing, so a resume is not necessary.
  • Workload will be light and flexible (especially at the beginning, but we hope to add more to your plate down the line if you're willing!)
    • 1 interview/article a month.
    • attendance at events to represent fux with. light social media content creation.
  • Must be an active member of the DIY community
    • Be on board with Fux With's mission of inclusivity, and getting to know subjects and artists outside of the scope of a “premiere" or "new project.”

To apply, please email the following to before June 30th, 2021:

  • a paragraph introducing yourself, your pronouns, and describing your role in the Chicago art/DIY community
  • a writing sample, 1 page or less, on an artist/person/collective/project pretending you are writing about them for a Fux With Magazine feature
    • your subject doesn't have to be a Chicago DIY subject- you can write about Rihanna for all I care, as long as the sample shows how you would write about a Chicago DIY subject.
  • 3 names of features/artists you would love to write about in the future for Fux With and why you think they'd be a good fit in a sentence or 2.
  • Optional- Anything else you'd like to share or contribute that shows you're the ideal candidate

This opportunity is UNPAID as of now.
