Theater Teaching Artist - Beverly Arts Center

We are seeking Theater teaching artists to begin programming with our School Partners department for the 2022 fall semester. Programming opportunities have flexibility of 1-20 hours per week and a pay scale of $30-$60 per hour contingent on educational background and teaching experience.

Teaching Artists should be proficient in teaching general INSERT DISCIPLINE course material, following the Illinois State Standards. Our Education Coordinator and Education Manager will also collaborate with teaching artists on developing program specific curriculum mapping and lesson planning. All resident teaching artists must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and pass a background check to be eligible for programming with BAC school partners.

As part of the Beverly Arts Center’s mission, our School Partnerships department offers tailored Arts-enrichment programming to Chicago area public and private schools throughout the city and surrounding suburbs - especially the south and west sides - before-school, in-school, and after-school. Join our resident professional Teaching Artists to collaborate on arts integrated programming and refresh any teaching skills with our annual Professional Development cycle.
