Teaching Artist
Chicago Jazz Philharmonic is seeking qualified teaching artists with a passion for sharing the joy of music-making, improvisation, and community with students throughout Chicago. CJP offers numerous in-school, after-school, and out-of-school programs to students K-12, with programs from "Music Discovery" to ensemble programs such as jazz band and jazz orchestra, drum line, jazz choir, strings, and guitar.
Teaching artists deliver quality educational content to students in alignment with CJP's mission and values while retaining the flexibility to teach to their own strengths and the individual needs of their classrooms. CJP offers competitive pay, as well as access to a community of likeminded educators with whom to share teaching philosophy and strategies.
All instruments are encouraged to apply. Primary program instructor and substitute roster positions available. Interested individuals are asked to contact jordan.mandela@chijazzphil.org and include a resume.
