Summer Arts Workshop Internship

Awakenings: Summer 2024 Art Workshops Internship

Duration & Time Commitment: Late May-August. 8-10 hrs/week

Preferred availability: Wednesday-Friday

Direct Supervisor: Studio Assistant, Wes Kendall

Our Mission: Awakenings provides survivors of sexual violence with a trauma-informed, inclusive art-making experience that encourages healing.


The goal of this internship is to provide the intern an opportunity to obtain hands-on experience within a small arts non-profit during a season of programming. For the Summer of 2024, the intern will help the Studio Assistant with studio maintenance, open studio hours, art workshop preparation, and running workshops. This workshop will also focus on a studio based creative project lead by the intern.

This internship is an in-person commitment.

Skills and Qualifications:

Ability to learn quickly and meet deadlines in a timely manner Works well in a small team & is a self-starter Experience with event planning & support (not required) Experience with art making of any kind (not required)


This internship does not include financial compensation. College credit can be provided.
