Stage Manager for The Conductors, an outdoor play for children
Kerfuffle is seeking a stage manager for our remounted production of The Conductors, to be performed in 8 parks as a part of Chicago Park District’s Night Out in the Parks. The Conductors is a 45-minute nonverbal play for very young children under 6 years old. Themed around community, trains and treasure, it features live music and audience participation. Rehearsals are scheduled to begin on August 7 and will take place outdoors in Rogers Park/Edgewater. The show opens Wednesday, August 31 and runs through Saturday, September 3.

Since the show is being remounted with the original cast, the rehearsal schedule is truncated. The stage manager will be required to arrive at each park 90 minutes ahead of performance time and will lead the cast in the set up/breakdown process of the show’s production elements before and after every performance. The ideal candidate will have a driver’s license (car not necessary). Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster is required for all team members.

Payment: $550 stipend + $50 travel stipend
