Stage Manager/Associate Production Manager

Pivot Arts creates and presents adventurous and multidisciplinary performance often in unusual spaces. We develop and produce new works throughout the year culminating in a festival of contemporary performance. Our unique performance events bring diverse people together. Pivot Arts seeks a Festival Stage Manager/Associate Production Manager (SM/APM) for the 2021 Pivot Arts Festival - Reimagining Utopia, running May 21 - June 6, 2021. This year the festival will take place as a unique and limited capacity event due to the on-going health crisis. Reporting to the Associate Producer, the SM/APM will play a key role in the preparation, installation, and run of performances in the Festival. The festival theme is “Re-imaging Utopia” and 12 artists/artist groups were curated to present mainly video installations with a few, small live performances responding to this theme. About 15 masked audience members will move through the event at a time, more like a tour of a gallery space -- there will not be seated, long performances. Other performances will take place outdoors and on our website.

The Festival Stage Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Participates in Festival pre-production meetings;
Assists with load-in of festival artists and equipment;
