Singing Instructor (On-Site) needed at The Stage School

The Stage School is currently seeking a qualified vocal music instructor for our upcoming spring session.

The instructors will teach singing to children ages 6-16 and serve as the music director for our spring production.

At The Stage School, all students study drama, singing, and dance. Students are grouped by age with limited class sizes.

We primarily teach group singing with a musical theater focus.

Our singing teachers are responsible for music directing our end of term presentation and preparing students for performance, as well as teaching fundamental skills to beginning and intermediate level singers throughout the term.

Session Dates: Saturdays, April 10 – May 15

Class times: 2 PM – 5 PM each week

Location: Centennial Activity Center, 100 S Western Ave, Park Ridge, IL

Our on-site program will be limited in capacity and will observe all current health and safety protocols (masks required, students distanced, etc). On on-site production will be an original music revue of Rodgers & Hammerstein titled “Something Wonderful.”

Compensation for either position is $35 per hour of teaching time.

Skills & Qualifications:

Ideal teaching candidates will

· be motivated, energetic, and organized

· have a strong professional background in vocal music and musical theater.

· have experience teaching children ages 6 - 16

· have experience in rehearsing and directing performances

· have a passion for teaching life skills to young people through the performing arts.
