Senior Patina Specialist

West Supply produces hand-crafted, heirloom-quality products for leading design, furniture, lighting,
architectural and fine art clientele. Primarily working in cast metal and glass, our ability to develop and
produce exclusive products is recognized as the highest standard of quality and professionalism in the
industry. Utilizing our abilities in patina, casting methods, combinations of material, and custom
assembly expertise, West Supply’s sister company, Refractory, was founded in 2021.
DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Lead Patina Artisan / Patineur to join our crew of talented makers, artists, and
craftspeople creating one-of-a-kind custom pieces for exclusive clientele.
After 13 years in business, West Supply is positioned to enter a very exciting new chapter, and we are
looking for a very strong and critical addition to our team.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Manage and work with other leads / senior patina artisan and the growing team to efficiently
produce high-quality, consistent hot and cold patinas and finishes
● Meet or exceed weekly productivity goals for the patina department, including client deadlines
● Conduct research and development with the West Supply and Refractory teams to develop and
explore new groundbreaking patinas, methods, finishes, and materials for cutting edge quality and
durability
● Continue to grow master finish sample library and maintain digital library on process, formulas and
standards
● Order supplies and materials in a timely and cost-effective manner
● Adhere strictly to safety practices, maintain organized and clean work area and take proper care of
equipment, tools, and facilities
● Collaborate with other departments (metals, glass, foundry, etc.) on developing custom approaches,
client quotes, and new offerings
EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
● Experience in Application of Hot and Cold Patinas
● Experience in use of HVLP, airbrush and other spray equipment
● Experience in the application of top coats such as urethane, enamel, lacquers, epoxies and waxes.
● Comfortable with light duty metals finishing (use of orbital sander, angle grinder, etc.)
● Ability to safely lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs
● Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
● Ability to plan and organize project timelines
● Teamwork, great attitude, attention to detail and record-keeping

COMPENSATION
● Competitive and commensurate with experience
HOURS
● Monday - Friday
● 8:00am - 5:00pm
● 40hrs / week with occasional overtime
