Resident Teaching Artist - Music

We are seeking a Music teaching artist to begin programming with our School Partners department for the 22/23 School Year. Programming opportunities have flexibility of 1 - max. 20 hours per week and a pay scale of $30-$60 per hour contingent on educational background and teaching experience.

Teaching Artists should be proficient in teaching general music course material, following the Illinois State Standards. Our Education Coordinator and Education Manager will also collaborate with teaching artists on developing program specific curriculum mapping and lesson planning. All resident teaching artists must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and pass a background check to be eligible for programming with BAC school partners.

As part of the Beverly Arts Center’s mission, our School Partnerships department offers tailored arts enrichment programming to the Chicago-metro area for public and private schools - with focus on the south and west sides - before-school, in-school, and after-school. Join our resident professional Teaching Artists to collaborate on arts integrated programming and refresh any teaching skills with our quarterly Professional Development cycle.
