Goodman Theatre is an artistic and community institution dedicated to the art of theater and to civic engagement in the theater arts. Goodman believes it has a responsibility to provide artists with the opportunity to explore a wide range of theatrical visions, and ensure that cultural inclusion is the fabric of the organization and fully engages in the life of our community. Goodman is currently seeking applicants for an open position in our Artistic Department.

Title: Producing Assistant
Position Reports To: Managing Producer

The Producing Assistant assists the Managing Producer and Producers of the Goodman Theatre in everyday administrative and theatre production activities. This involves the coordination of calendars, schedules, interfacing with other departments and external clients, correspondence, record keeping and file maintenance.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 Executing clear communications with and connections to other Goodman departments and stakeholders  Providing consistent administrative support to the Producers, including scheduling, calendar maintenance, and general correspondence  Coordinating staff schedules and artist schedules for various Goodman events, including post-show discussions and other events; coordinating and distributing “Artist Request” and “Artist Confirmation” forms for special events  Assist the Producers with special event planning, logistics and staffing

Required Qualifications:
 Associate’s Degree
 Proficiency with Microsoft Suite/Office 365: SharePoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
 Administrative/Organizational skills
 Writing/oral skills
 Interpersonal skills and cultural competency

Preferred Qualifications:
 Bachelor’sDegree or higher, experience with Arts Vision and Tessitura
