Patron Services Associate | Grant Park Music Festival

The Grant Park Music Festival in Chicago, Illinois seeks a full-time Patron Services Associate. The Patron Services Associate is a key member of the Festival’s Patron Services team dedicated to delivering elevated service to our community of loyal and enthusiastic patrons. The Patron Services Associate helps develop strategies to increase patron retention, attract new members, and grow revenue. The Patron Services Associate takes initiative, thinks creatively, digs into data, and supports the Festival’s mission of enriching lives through the power of music.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning of the membership (subscription) and One Night Pass (single ticket) campaigns, including renewal and acquisition efforts.
  • Assist with efforts to maximize use of Tessitura throughout the organization, including work to identify and research new features and upgrade opportunities.
  • Manage targeted digital/phone outreach plan for membership renewals, stewarding patrons through renewal process and meeting campaign deadlines and goals.
  • Process orders and exchanges; track and respond to customer service inquiries and requests.
  • Lead Patron Service Center (Box Office) during 10-week summer season, helping to create a team culture of excellence, openness, creativity and service to all.
  • Work on initiatives that build robust relationships between the organization and its patrons, enhancing the Festival’s patron engagement model.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of paid experience in membership/ticketing/marketing/sales in the performing arts; non-profit performing arts experience is a plus.
  • Minimum one year of experience using Tessitura for ticketing and/or contributions.
  • Demonstrated ability to meaningfully engage with, and welcome, people of all backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Word and Excel) and computer tasks.

Compensation/Benefits/Schedule

  • $41,000 - $45,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
  • Competitive benefits package includes 10 days paid vacation, eleven paid holidays, four personal days, paid sick leave, comprehensive health, dental, vision and life insurance, and 403(b) retirement plan with 3.75% employer match after one year of employment.
  • Nights and weekends are required during the Festival's 10 week summer season and for occasional organizational events during the rest of the year.

For more than 85 years, the Grant Park Music Festival has been Chicago's summer musical sensation, demonstrating that classical music performed by a world-class orchestra and chorus can have a transformative impact on the city. Showcased in the city's most spectacular setting, the Festival continues to be the summer gathering place for all of Chicago. The Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park is the official home of the Grant Park Music Festival, with free seats available for every concert.

The Festival is led by Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Carlos Kalmar, along with Grant Park Chorus Director Christopher Bell, Grant Park Orchestral Association President and CEO Paul Winberg, and Board Chair Adam Grais.
