Patina Specialist

WHAT WE DO

West Supply produces hand-crafted, heirloom-quality products for leading design, furniture, lighting,

architectural and fine art clientele. Primarily working in cast metal and glass, our ability to develop and

produce exclusive products is recognized as the highest standard of quality and professionalism in the

industry. Utilizing our abilities in patina, casting methods, combinations of material, and custom

assembly expertise, West Supply’s sister company, Refractory, was founded in 2021.

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Patina Artisan / Patineur to join our crew of talented makers, artists, and

craftspeople creating one-of-a-kind custom pieces for exclusive clientele.

After 13 years in business, West Supply is positioned to enter a very exciting new chapter, and we are

looking for a very strong and critical addition to our team.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

● Implement hot and cold patinas and other finishes under the direction of Lead Patineurs to lighting,

furniture, and art pieces.

● Commitment to detail, quality and consistency in producing client orders while adhering to the

studio’s established processes and finishing standards.

● Keep master finish sample library organized and up to date

● Collaborate and communicate with team members to complete tasks in an adequate and timely

manner

● Adhere strictly to safety practices, maintain organized and clean work area and take proper care of

equipment, tools, and facilities

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

● Experience in Application of Hot and Cold Patinas

● Experience in use of HVLP, airbrush and other spray equipment

● Experience in the application of top coats such as urethane, lacquers, waxes and epoxies

● Comfortable with light duty metals finishing (use of orbital sander, angle grinder, etc.)

● Ability to safely lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs

● Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

● Ability to plan and organize project timelines

● Teamwork, great attitude, attention to detail and record-keeping

COMPENSATION

● Competitive and commensurate with experience

HOURS

● Monday - Friday

● 8:00am - 5:00pm

● 40hrs / week with occasional overtime
