Part-time, Permanent Retail Assistant (15+ hrs/wk), Weekends required
Neighborly is looking to hire a part-time Retail Assistant to primarily work at our Division St location. Duties include opening and closing the shop, greeting customers in the shop, assisting customers as they browse, checking customers out, restocking shelves and maintaining shop appearance. They will also have the important task of representing Neighborly and sharing the shop's story, as well as acting as an ambassador for the makers whose products we carry.
We are looking for an assistant who can work both Saturday and Sunday, please apply only if you are available at these times:
Saturday 11a-6p or 11:30-3:30 based on availability
Additional hours will likely be available through the summertime.

At this job, you will be expected to:
> Offer exceptional customer service, greet every customer that comes to the shop, assist them with product information and recommendations, provide an easy and pleasant shopping and checkout experience.
> Learn in detail about our products, where and how they’re made and who they’re made by.
> Learn and become a wizard at using our POS system, Shopify, to checkout customers, perform returns, look up products and inventory, and add new products.
> Maintain shop to be clean and orderly with basic tasks like folding Tshirts, rearranging out of place products, sweeping, cleaning, dusting shelves, removing trash and recycling, etc.
> Unpack product; check products for damage or defects, check quantities packed or received against packing list (this is where attention to detail comes in!), tag and prep for display, merchandise on display or put in storage as needed.
> Restock shelves when items sell, similarly, replace artwork on wall/display as needed. Restock supplies for checkout.
> Establish checks to notify manager when inventory of a product is low.
> Possibly assist with off-site special events as they resume.
