Painting and Drawing Instructor
Insight Fine Art Studio is currently seeking an Instructor of Painting and Drawing for our kids' classes. We are looking for an artist with a strong skill set in representational art. At Insight, we emphasize traditional art practices and techniques, so we are seeking an instructor with classical training in drawing and painting. The instructor will teach groups of 7-8 students in weekly classes, or co-teach groups of 15 to 16. Students will work individually on projects of their own choosing, so instructors should feel comfortable working in and instructing students in all drawing and painting materials, including pastel, charcoal, graphite, watercolor, acrylic, and oil.
We are looking for an instructor who is available to teach on Saturdays and Sundays and one or more weekday classes. Our classes run year-round, as long as there are students enrolled (and we are at capacity), so the instructor will have regularly scheduled weekly classes. We are closed for several weeks throughout the year and for all major holidays. We will be adding additional class days to our schedule, so this position can grow. We will also want this instructor to be the lead for two weeks of summer camp at the studio in 2024.
Starting pay: $21 - $24 hourly depending on experience. Paid time off offered.
This is a fun and rewarding job that provides a great opportunity to pass on your knowledge to a wonderful cohort of students in a welcoming and supportive setting. If you are interested in this position, there are two things that are absolutely and positively required:
Applicants must submit 3-5 images of their best representational artwork to email@example.com.
Please include a link to your Instagram or website, but also send the images.
Applicants must write a short cover letter explaining how a part-time job like this would fit into their life and schedule, as well as their location.
Thank you for considering Insight Fine Art Studio as your next employer. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
