Musical Theatre Camp Instructors

The Improv Playhouse is seeking Musical Theatre Camp Counselors/Instructors for summer 2023! We are in our 23rd year of offering performing arts camps in the Libertyville area for ages 7-18.

We are seeking dynamic, high-energy instructors who are passionate about inspiring students and having fun! This is a paid position, commensurate with experience. Teaching or camp counselor experience is preferred. All camps run Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm. This year, we are offering five unique camps starting 6/5 - 8/4.

Experience teaching youth required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain a fun and safe environment for class participants Promote knowledge of techniques and make and demonstrate modifications Teach class with energy and enthusiasm Keep accurate class attendance records Update music and choreography on a regular basis Start and end the class on time Learn and carry out all quality assurance operations, policies and procedures Help maintain a safe and clean exercise environment Complete accident and incident reports as needed

Pre Camp: 6/5 - 6/9; Disney on Broadway
Session 1 : 6/12 - 6/23; Tangled Mashup
Session 2: 6/26-7/7 (no camp on 7/4); Disney Villains Mashup
Session 3: 7/10 - 7/21; Zombies Mashup
Session 4: 7/24 - 8/4; Newsies Mashup
