Fully vaccinated metal studio seeking talented and meticulous craftspeople wanting to hone their skills by learning and perfecting metal fabrication and finishing techniques.

Entry Level Metal Worker Position (Full-Time position available after initial part-time training period). Hourly pay is commensurate with experience.

General Duties:

Assisting with metal furniture and sculpture fabrication and finishing. Fabrication includes welding and weld finishing (grinding, sanding, and detailing of weld-joints). General finishing includes sanding, prep (cleaning, beveling, etc), and various patina processes.

Job requires experience with and enthusiasm for making things, extreme attention to detail, ability to learn and retain new techniques/processes, ability to lift 50+ pounds, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and friendly work environment.

As an entry-level position, candidates will be trained in the necessary skills for the job, but experience with any or all of the following is a plus: metal grinding and sanding, mig/tig welding, art/design/sculpture techniques.
