Goals and Objectives:
An ideal intern for Awakenings will be passionate about our mission, a self-starter, and able to see projects all the way through. The Marketing and Outreach intern will primarily work in the two following areas
- Digital publicity: You will be responsible for creating digital marketing content that will be published on social media and in our newsletters. Content may include event publicity, news and announcements, fundraising campaigns, and more.
- Outreach: As a small but growing nonprofit, outreach is a top priority. You will work with the Marketing Coordinator to plan outreach campaigns that involve contacting universities, like-minded nonprofits, and other local communities to spread the word about Awakenings, cultivate potential donors, volunteers, board members, survivors, artists, and anyone who might be interest in getting involved.
- Provide general project support for Awakenings staff as needed
Must be passionate about our mission. Must be currently enrolled in or have graduated from an accredited college or university. Must be social media, Mac, and Google Suite savvy.
