Kids Art Instructor
We are seeking Visual Arts teaching artists to begin programming with our School of Fine Arts department for spring and summer 2023. Programming opportunities have flexibility of scheduling per week and a pay scale contingent on educational background and teaching experience.
Teaching Artists should be proficient in teaching general pottery, jewelry-making, comic book design, & hand-sewing & pillow craft course material, following the Illinois State Standards for the Arts. Our Education Coordinator and Education Manager will also collaborate with teaching artists on developing program-specific curriculum mapping and lesson planning. All resident teaching artists must pass a background check to be eligible for programming with the BAC Education Department.
As part of the Beverly Arts Center’s mission, our School of Fine Arts offers tailored Arts-enrichment programming for all ages. Join our resident professional Teaching Artists to collaborate on arts-integrated programming and refresh any teaching skills with our annual Professional Development cycle.
We are seeking candidates with available on Saturdays during these classes and times:
Art for Kids: Pottery - 9:00am-10:00am
Art for Kids: Jewelry - 10:15am-11:00am
Comics for Kids: Superheroes vs. Villains - 11:00am-12:00pm.
Art for Tweens: Hand-Sewing & Pillow Craft 1:00pm-2:00pm.
