Line Dot, one of Chicago’s leading new contemporary art galleries in the Wicker Park/Ukrainian Village neighborhood, is seeking qualified applicants for Gallery Supervisor. Since 2016 Line Dot has been gaining notoriety with a unique mix of local, national and international talents. The candidate must be highly personable, proactive, motivated, and have strong communication skills, as well as incredible organizational skills. Previous experience at a gallery is favored.

Responsibilities include:

Oversee and manage all operations of the galleryOpen and close the gallery 5 days per week and manage monthly gallery receptionsGreet visitors and interface with the public Prepare presentations with artwork to new and existing gallery clients Work with gallery owners on all aspects of gallery planning, programming, and salesPhotograph artwork and manage gallery websiteArrange the packing and shipping of artwork Inventory management Requirements include:

Must have Bachelor's degree in Art, Art History, Liberal Arts or equivalentMust possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must be able to work independently, and be flexible with schedule when needed Knowledge of Apple & PC; Adobe InDesign & Photoshop; Microsoft Office, etc. – Personable, professional and positive demeanor This position is 5 days per week, Tuesday – Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm. Applicant will occasionally need to work additional hours for events and openings.

Salary offered will be commensurate with experience.
