About the role:
Everyone at the gallery has a hand in most projects. As a small business, we never have more than 5 members of our team. That being said, we’re looking for someone that is able to play a small role in most aspects of our gallery (sales, social media, photography, merchandising, cleaning, etc.) In this way, the position requires organizational and time-management skills, initiative, and accountability to the role.
We are seeking highly motivated, detail-oriented, reliable individuals to join our fast-paced, ambitious team. Responsibilities include the following: general gallery maintenance/upkeep, answering phones, inventory management, updating the website and social media outlets, displaying and cleaning jewelry, among other daily tasks.
Your day to day will mostly consist of attending to customers, being an active sales person, and working on various long-term projects such as website updating, gallery/inventory rearrangement, and customer relations.
Our ideal candidate is someone with sales experience, who knows how to mirror the customer to best match them with our products. We’re looking for someone who can pinpoint exactly what made the sale and how the tactics could have possibly been made better. Someone with additional adobe suite, social media, and photography* experience is a significant benefit (all photography is done on our store iPhone). Knowledge of luxury goods, design, and art jewelry are also significant benefits.
About the position:
We are looking to hire an associate to work 1-3 days a week (currently shifts are 10:00am - 6:30pm) at an hourly wage
Qualifications:
-2+ years relevant sales and customer service experience (luxury/high end goods a plus, knowledge of jewelry/metals/gemstones a plus)
-excellent communication skills
-ability to work independently as well as in a group
-professional written and verbal skills
-clean and organized
- strong attention to detail
-appreciation of handcrafted goods, artist made products, and small businesses
-proficient computer skills (adobe, mailchimp, shopify, instagram, later a plus)
-social media coordination a plus
-must be able to stand for long periods of time
