FRAMER / CONSERVATION ASSISTANT Restoration Division, LLC. is seeking a part or full time W9 employee (Freelancer) with a variance in experience.

This position is part time and schedule will be depending on the candidate. Starting hourly wage is $18/hour, which is applied during the candidates training period. The duration of the training period will depend on the candidate's performance in the studio.

In this position, one should have impeccable attention to detail and the ability to work towards multiple goals at once, as well as a sense of responsibility towards their work. Experience in the following areas is required: strong communication skills and location orientation as the employee will be asked to run errands, sometimes, in new, unfamiliar locations and areas. Art handling, framing, and installation experience is highly preferable.

A background in painting, as well as stretching canvases is preferred. Further, experience working with wood and/or metal is also appreciated, as well as driving skills with commercial vans and trailers.

Lastly, candidates with moderate to severe allergies should not apply as varnishes and other conservation-grade chemicals are often used. Candidates should have exceptional vision and hearing. Note, our team is often working on elevated surfaces & scaffolding. Conservation skills are not required upon application. The right candidate should be expected to be trained by the conservation team on the firm’s practices and should be willing and ready to follow direction. Ability to learn quickly and comprehensively is ideal.

Qualifications: - Background in Framing, Installation, and Art Handling - Bachelors Degree in Fine Art and/or Painting preferred- A valid US Drivers License required- The ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
