The Facilities Manager is a key team player within Steppenwolf’s general management team Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Facilities Manager is charged with maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our audience, artist and staff. This position is integral in ensuring that our buildings are compliant with city and municipal codes, managing and maintaining all equipment inspections, and ensuring all safety and security guidelines and procedures. The Facilities Manager supervises 2 full time employees and 1 to 2 part time staff.

Key Responsibilities include:

Ensures that daily maintenance requests are being responded to quicklyEnsures security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properlyCommunicates workplace safety precautions to employeesIs responsible for scheduling all required test and inspectionsWorks collaboratively with the Food and Beverage, FOH, Events and Development teamsActs as liaison between departments across a number of activities and projectsProject Management of various small construction/renovation projectsCoordinating and executing snow removal across campusEnsures the management/coordination of all garbage and recycling pickups across campus (5-7 dumpsters) and the occasional roll off container.Acting as the on-call Facilities staff member for organizational emergenciesAll other duties as assigned by Director of OperationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Compensation:

Salary range: $40-45k (exempt) with excellent benefit package for full time employees, including medical, dental, vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, vacation pay, paid sick time, personal days, Ventra transit benefit program, employee assistance program and 401(k) matching retirement program.
