Expression Workshop Teaching Artist

Hands of Peace is a nonprofit organization that works with American, Israeli, and Palestinian youth to become agents of change. For 19 days in July, our youth (15-18 years old) participate in daily dialogue sessions, gain leadership skills, and engage in educational and social activities. We have organized a 5 session Expression Workshop series, where participants will have the opportunity to learn how art can be used as a form of introspection as well as political communication. We are looking for an individual who has experience at the intersection of art and social justice able to lead 2-5 sessions for at most 10 high school aged youth. The dates and times we have available are: July 12 (1:30-3:30 pm); July 13 (1:30- 3:30 pm); July 17 (4:00-6:00 pm); July 20 (1:30-3:30 pm); July 23 (1:30-3:30 pm). Art supplies will be provided, and a Hands of Peace staff member will be made available to assist you during each session.
