Approximately 72 hours total work. 9 days Mon-Fri working 8 hours each day.
$21.00 per hour
Summary:
Deinstallation of street artist Sentrock's exhibition with paintings, sculpture, installation, and video.
Art Handling and temporary storage of permanent collection materials.
Responsibilities:
Preparing artwork for pick-up, including wrapping paintings, disassembly of sculptural/installation pieces and video projection
Wall preparations for next exhibit, including patching and painting walls to white
Cataloging and wrapping permanent collection pieces
Moving permanent collection pieces to temporary storage
Requirements:
Plans and executes assigned projects with little oversight.
2+ years of demonstrated experience includes handling, installing, and mounting a variety of 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional art objects. In resume and/or cover letter, please provide examples of handing fine artwork, installing 2D and 3D fine artwork.
2+ years related experience within professional art or historical organization.
Knowledge of installation materials and techniques, knowledge of fine art packing.
Bachelor of Arts degree in Art, Art History, Studio Art, Museum Studies or a closely related program from an accredited college or university
Ability to work cooperatively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions to ensure art installation and storage run smoothly
Must be able to stand for extended periods, and lift objects up to 50lbs
Valid driver’s license
Self-insured for liability, a plus.
