Now Hiring: Northlight Theatre is now hiring a full-time Education Manager. Reporting to the Director of Education & Community Engagement, the Education Manager is the primary supervisor for Northlight’s Teaching Artist cohort and manages all Northlight Education programs for school partners. The position acts as the primary support for in-school residencies, after-school classes, and other school-based programs and runs the Season Access student matinee series. The Education Manager is a member of the Northlight team and provides support as needed for all programs.

Qualifications: Experience working with youth in arts education spaces is required. Must have ability to manage with compassion, work collaboratively, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills and attention to detail. Previous experience working in public schools with diverse learners and utilizing trauma informed and culturally conscious teaching practices is preferred. This position requires transportation to multiple job sites across the Chicagoland area. Though not required, access to a personal vehicle and valid driver's license is recommended.

Job Location: This position will include onsite work at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie as well as onsite work at school partners with some remote work possible. Exact onsite/remote work schedule will be determined based on department needs and staff member preference.

Compensation: Compensation range is $37,000 to $40,000 annually, competitive with prevailing compensation for similar positions within the non-profit performing arts industry, and commensurate with qualifications and experience of the applicant. This position is eligible for benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance and paid time off.
