Director /Instructor of Youth & Family Program - part time

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Director of Youth & Family Ministry to instruct, lead and grow our youth and family programs. Ideal for creatives, artists, actors, teachers, etc. who enjoy working with kids and teens. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging and meaningful programs for children, teens, and families that foster spiritual growth and community building; while maintaining the Youth social media presence and website. Lots of opportunity for growth and creativity. We love team leaders that bring ideas to the table, take initiative, and have a spiritual heart.

Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive youth and family ministry program that’s meaningful and age-appropriate including Sunday program, youth group meetings, and special events.

Foster positive relationships with youth and families.

Recruit, train, and support volunteers to assist with youth and family programs.

Collaborate with the Senior Minister and other members of the staff to ensure that youth and family programs are integrated into the overall life of the church.

Post and connect with youth and families through the Youth’s social media and e-newsletter.

Attend staff meetings and provide updates on youth and family programs.

Requirements: a minimum of college-level training preferably in education or child and family development, youth ministry, or theology, or related fields.

Proven experience leading youth and/or family programs.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with youth and families

Excellent organizational and leadership skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Passion for spiritual growth and community building

Hours: Part-Time: Sunday mornings mandatory, approx 10:AM - 1:PM, plus one additional weekday to start. Potential for more hours: as the position grows there will be potential for more work; and we’re open to discuss other opportunities.

Wage: Hourly rate and based on experience
