Position Summary
The Director of Finance is a senior management position that consistently interprets, implements, and supports Auditorium policy and organization goals. They foster collaboration and support professional growth amongst their team. The Director of Finance is responsible for ensuring consistent implementation of controls and procedures in related to finance. The position prepares financial, investment, and tax reporting of the organization. The Director of Finance works with the CFO on matters pertaining to reporting, budgets, analysis, and forecasting. The Director of Finance ensures the timeliness and accuracy of the work of the department by managing the workflow. Primary inter-departmental liaison.

Major Areas of Responsibilities

-Responsible for traditional month-end activities including reconciliations with an emphasis on moving toward real-time reporting. Prepares production-related settlements and accounts for or performs detail review of accounting for investment, revenue, and payable activities for the organization with support from Finance Manager. Follow up and resolution to all issues related to these functions.

-Prepares and reports all tax and compliance related reporting such as Form 990, amusement tax, sales tax, and other compliance requirements with support from Finance Manager as needed.

-Special projects and requests as needed such as internal reporting and grant reporting.

-This position supervises 1 team member.

Experience
5 – 7 years

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Relevant knowledge, skills, and abilities is the most important qualification of this position.

-Strong knowledge of GAAP

-Strong knowledge of internal control procedures

-Strong knowledge of not-for-profit accounting, reporting, and compliance

-Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills

-Demonstrated commitment to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA).

-Strong process improvement abilities

Salary Range/Benefits
$65K-$105K
