DIRECTOR OF CREATOR REPRESENTATION

Overview

A Director of Creator Representation will serve as a purveyor of opportunity on an on-demand basis for our hand-picked Creator roster. You will handle negotiations and other business affairs on behalf of the Creator while under contract. Since most Creators focus a majority of their attention on making, the Director of Creator Representation will serve as an advocate, project manager and advisor during this time.

Duties

A Director of Creator Representation will develop strategic plans regarding opportunities which map to expectations of the Creator. You are also be responsible for collecting revenues, fees or other payments stipulated in contracts and help in the promotion of the Creator’s careers.

Education and Training Requirements

Sales, Law and Account Management experience is encouraged and degrees in Business Management, Marketing and Fine Arts are preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

A Director of Creator Representation must be an expert on the ins and outs of the art and design industry. Good Creator Representatives do everything they can to make their Creators successful. They possess excellent communication/interpersonal, public relations, marketing/advertising, negotiation and leadership skills. You must be friendly, independent, aggressive and have the ability to work as part of a team. Contract management and negotiation skills are a must.

Working Conditions

A Chicago based Director of Creator Representation is preferred but this position is 100% remote. Candidates that are located outside the Chicago area will be considered if they fit all other qualifications.

Compensation

This position is commissioned based with incentives linked to performance.
