TITLE: Design Associate

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Marketing and Sales

GENERAL SUMMARY

Design/production of various institutional materials including, but not limited to, ads, direct mail, flyers, signage, invitations, web banners, email graphics, etc. (all collateral materials).

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design/production for institutional materials including, but not limited to, ads, direct mail, flyers, signage, invitations, web banners, email graphics, etc. (all collateral materials).

2. Prepare design projects for print.

3. Maintain corporate branding on all assigned projects.

4. Support in-house design team through scanning, various research assignments, etc.

5. Work with Creative Services Manager with archive standards of electronic files.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

1. Reports to the Creative Director.

2. Other contacts include: CSOA staff and outside vendors.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

1. Bachelor's Degree in graphic design or fine arts with a strong emphasis on graphic design

2. On the job experience (employee or intern) in graphic design and production in direct mail, advertising, publications, invitations, signage.

3. Creative inspiration, as evidenced by a diverse portfolio of high quality (within experience level).

4. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) is required.

5. Ability to animate web banners is a plus.

6. Familiarity with digital file formats (tif, gif, eps, pdf, jpg, swf, fla) and knowledge of graphic design principles and production methods are also needed.

7. Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.
