Dance Teachers (Online & On-Site) Needed at The Stage School
The Stage School is currently seeking qualified Dance instructors for our upcoming spring session.
We are seeking two candidates: one instructor for our online classes and one instructor for our on-site classes in Park Ridge.
The instructors will teach dance to children ages 6-16 and serve as the choreographers for our spring productions.
At The Stage School, all students study drama, singing, and dance. Students are grouped by age with limited class sizes.
We primarily focus on jazz and modern dance techniques, with an overall emphasis on musical theater.
Our dance teachers are responsible for choreographing our end of term presentation and preparing students for performance, as well as teaching fundamental skills to beginning and intermediate level dancers throughout the term.
Session Dates: Saturdays, March 20 – May 22
Class times: 10 AM – 1 PM each week
Our online classes are conducted via Zoom. Our teaching team works with students to create a filmed presentation of their work. Our spring online production is an original music revue based on the works of Lewis Carroll entitled “Through the Looking Glass.”
Session Dates: Saturdays, April 10 – May 15
Class times: 2 PM – 5 PM each week
Location: Centennial Activity Center, 100 S Western Ave, Park Ridge, IL
Our on-site program will be limited in capacity and will observe all current health and safety protocols (masks required, students distanced, etc). On on-site production will be an original music revue of Rodgers & Hammerstein titled “Something Wonderful.”
Compensation for either position is $35 per hour of teaching time.
