CUSTOM PICTURE FRAMER-SALES AND PRODUCTION

Flax Art & Frame, a 77-year-old, family-owned business in the Chicago Loop, seeks to hire a mature, full-time picture framer to join our framing team. Candidate must have a minimum of 12 to 24 months of experience working in a retail framing shop as a picture framer. We are looking for someone who loves to work with their hands, design and sell framing, matting and everything that goes with the craft. Ideal candidate enjoys client contact, has a working knowledge of framing tools and equipment, and is a problem solver. We, of course, will train the new team member in all aspects of our craft and how we operate. We will help the new team member grow into the position, including an opportunity to become certified by the Professional Picture Framers Association.

Poaiton is full-time, 5 of the 6 days we are open. Store hours are 9-5:30 week days, 10-5 Saturdays, closed Sundays. Day off is scheduled by mutual agreement. Pay is bi-weekly and is commensurate with the candidate's experience level.
