Position:

The Concessions Associate is responsible for delivering the highest caliber of customer service while serving packaged food and beverages, including alcohol, to guests during events at the Fine and Performing Arts Center. Ongoing on-call position. Hours vary per week. Evening and weekend work is required. This individual reports to the Manager of Theater Operations and Services.

Responsibilities:

Serve and sell concessions in a quick and courteous manner. Takes inventory of product before and after each event, and submits reports as needed. Keep accurate records of all cash, check, and credit/debit card payments, balance individual cash drawer, and complete accounting reports when required. Adheres to the theatre’s food & beverage policies as outlined in our handbook. Checks customer's identification when selling alcoholic beverages Open/close concessions per current procedure. Assist the Manager of Theater Operations and Services on restocking and reviewing inventory. Other duties as outlined in procedures manual and as assigned by Manager of Theater Operations and Services. General Expectations:

Adhere to dress code as outlined in procedures manual. Adhere to code of conduct as outlined in procedures manual. Work shifts as scheduled reporting on time and ready to work. Substitutions must be made according to procedures manual. Adhere to the work etiquette guidelines as outlined in the procedure’s manual. Adhere to and enforce regulations as outlined in the procedure’s manual. Adherence to all Moraine Valley Community College policies. Other duties as outlined in procedures manual and as assigned by Manager of Theater Operations and Services. Qualifications:

High School diploma. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel, etc.), Outlook email and internet. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills2+ years of strong customer service skills. Motivated, self-directed; strong administrative and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to perform basic accounting tasks Ability to stand for long periods of time, ability to bend, and lift at least 20 lbs. Must be available to work nights and weekend. BASSETT certification desired.Pay:

Starting $13 per hour.
